Using the Websio SharePoint Scanner Plug-in for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/ Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, paper documents can be scanned on a document scanner and sent to specific locations in SharePoint for storage and ongoing document lifecycle management.

SharePoint Scanner Plug-in Enterprise Edition also includes option to convert image to text (perform OCR) and save documents as searchable PDF.

SharePoint Scanner Plug-in uses advanced compression technologies to enable best document quality with smallest file size.

SharePoint Scanner Plug-in realized as native WSS feature.  It supports all types of scanners: simple desktop and professional scanners with feeders.

Using Scanner Plug-in configuration (available from Site Collection settings) you can define which set of screens will be shown to the end-user and default value for each Plug-in parameter.

The Plug-in may be easy localized for any language (see User Guide for details).

There are two versions of SharePoint Scanner Plug-in: Professional and Enterprise
